During worldwide stream via Yahoo, Taylor Swift revealed that her fifth album is titled 1989 and due October 27. Swift said that listening to lots of 80s pop influenced "her most cohesive" and favorite album to date. She also called it her first official pop album. The album is available to pre-order here, with a deluxe edition containing 3 voice memo bonus tracks and different sets of polaroids.
In addition, he debuted the first single called "Shake It Off." And it's a corker.
The Max Martin and Shellback produced-song is reminiscent of Pharrell's "Happy," but through a very distinct Taylor Swift lens. Complete with a cheerleader chant bridge and a horn, the single's shift in sound certainly ushers in the new T-Swift era.
