Kate Bush announces first tour since 1979

Kate Bush just pulled a "Beyoncé" of epic proportions.

The British singer-songwriter-pianist-enigma is a legend. She's responsible for influencing pretty much anyone making experimental pop. Kate Bush provided the blueprint so many artists followed and adjusted to fit their sound. If you haven't investigated Kate, drop everything you're doing and being the journey. If you have, you know why this news is so mind-blowing.

After 1993's The Red Shoes, Kate didn't release another album until 2005. Some feared she'd never release another record again due to her reclusive reputation. Thankfully since then, she's released two albums in 2011 and has been rumored to be in the studio throughout 2012 and 2013.

Tour-wise, Kate only toured once in her entire career. The Tour of Life took place April 2nd through May 14th, 1979, and only included songs from her first two albums. That means we haven't seen tours featuring the songs from her best albums, like 1982's The Dreaming or 1985's Hounds of Love

That's what makes today's announcement so incredible, unexpected, and exciting. For the first time in 35 years, Kate will perform live in concert. Here are the details you need to know:
