Marina Diamandis, better known in the pop world as Marina and the Diamonds, released the brilliant Electra Heart in 2012. Through the images and words of a character named after the album, Marina philosophized on The American Dream, sexuality, gender identity, and romance. The record spawned memorable dance tracks like "Primadonna" and "How to be a Heartbreaker."
Today, her birthday, Marina gave us the first taste of her upcoming third album called Froot. Produced by David Kosten & Marina Diamandis, the title track from the record is definitely less dance pop than her last efforts, but maintains Marina's vivid lyrical style and theatrical vocals. It sparkles with a dreamlike shimmer.
