This is a monumental day.

After nearly a decade of battling her former label Blackground Records for artistic control, Jojo is a free woman. The LA Times revealed today that she signed with Atlantic Records:

JoJo has signed a deal with Atlantic Records, ending an exhaustive multi-year battle with her former label, a representative for the singer has confirmed to Pop & Hiss.

I can't tell you how excited I am about this news. I've been following Jojo closely since her last album, The High Road, and have stood by as her label robbed her of the success she so clearly deserves. Her voice is otherworldly and the music world deserves to hear it. I have every bit of confidence that she will deliver a third album worth the wait.

Check out some of what you may have missed since you sung along to "Too Little Too Late," including an amazing cover of "I Don't Want To Wait" by Paula Cole
